Positive: Heale farm cottage was set in the most idyllic and quiet location with lovely surroundings & views which was exactly what we wanted for our first little family holiday away :) Jenny & Ed were lovely friendly hosts and were very accommodating with supplying a travel cot / baby bath for our daughter which was lovely. The animals and birds on the farm all added to the lovely tranquil feel especially the beautiful peacocks. The upstairs living area was our favourite part of the cottage , it had a lovely cosy feel and great views from the windows.
Negative: At our time of booking / staying the photos of the property were completely different to what we arrived to which was a bit of a shock initially as the decor I had booked the cottage for was very neutral and minimalist where as the updated decor is much bolder in bright reds , yellows etc Which I must say does work really well with the theme of the cottage it just wasn’t what I booked the cottage based on nor was it my preferred kind of decor. The photos were updated literally after we left our stay - therefore this should no longer be an issue for future guests . There was also a slight issue with leaking water in the boiler cupboard which we were notified of on our journey down and a plumber was arranged very quickly to sort the problem but unfortunately it was unable to be fixed which meant we were changing the bucket of water every few hours, these things can’t always be helped but it was a little bit of an inconvenience that we had to keep remembering to empty the water.
